Clairemont won the last time they faced Morse and things went their way on Friday too. The Chieftains had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chieftains have posted against the Tigers since October 13, 2018.

Morse lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kourtney Owens, who had five digs and five aces. Another player making a difference was Hailie Bautista, who had ten digs.

The victory got Clairemont back to even at 13-13. As for Morse, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Clairemont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against O'Farrell Charter on the 20th. As for Morse, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against El Camino on the 20th.
