Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Morgan Township

Tri-Township came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Morgan Township, but Madi Lemmons wouldn't allow it. The Morgan Township Cherokees snuck past the Tri-Township Tigers with a 34-29 win on Friday thanks in part to Lemmons, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Vanessa Parsons, who posted four points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Morgan Township and bumps their season record up to 13-7. As for Tri-Township, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Morgan Township has already played their next matchup, a 59-37 defeat against Westville on the 25th. As for Tri-Township, they will face off against Marquette Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marquette Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.
