Basic had won six straight games and Mia Frias did her part to make it seven on Wednesday. The Basic Wolves walked away with a 51-38 win over the Del Sol Dragons thanks in part to Frias, who posted 23 points and three steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Kamilyah (Star) Williams was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Del Sol still got an impressive performance from Ricana Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards. Taylor is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 20 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ge Ge Pickens, who earned 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Basic pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Del Sol, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 19-7 record this season.

Basic has already played their next game, a 46-44 loss against Foothill on the 31st. As for Del Sol, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-15 win against Chaparral on the 30th.
