Phoebus has gone a perfect 10-0 against Menchville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Phantoms will host the Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. Phoebus will be strutting in after a win while Menchville will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Phoebus took their game with ease, bagging a 47-6 victory over Woodside. The Phantoms haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Maurikus Banks was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 128 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 116 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Menchville took a blow against Bethel on Thursday, falling 55-6. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Bruins are ranked 89th).

Phoebus' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Menchville, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Phoebus against Menchville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 win. Will the Phantoms repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
