Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harding). They came out on top against the Lordstown Red Devils by a score of 20-17 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Skippers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
The team relied heavily on Natalie Phillips, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Jillian Justinger, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Harding's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Lordstown, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
