Basketball Recap: St. Johns Snags 16th Win in Last 18 Games

St. Johns extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Evelyn Andrus. The St. Johns Redskins took down the Many Farms Lobos 50-36 on Tuesday thanks in part to Andrus, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Payton Nielsen was another key player, putting up five points and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 21 times she's played.

Despite the loss, Many Farms still got an impressive performance from Raelene Harvey, who posted ten points and seven boards.

St. Johns is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Many Farms, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Johns will venture away from home to challenge Show Low at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Show Low has won three straight at home, while St. Johns won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Many Farms has already played their next matchup (against Monument Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
