Volleyball Preview: Lutheran East Falcons vs. Open Door Christian Patriots        
        
		
             Lutheran East is 0-9 against Open Door Christian since September of 2014 but things could change  on Tuesday. The Lutheran East Falcons are on the road again  to play the Open Door Christian Patriots at 6:30  p.m.
 Last Monday, Lutheran East came up short against Harvey  and fell  3-1.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-18,  25-15.
 Meanwhile,  everything went Open Door Christian's way against Ursuline on Saturday as Open Door Christian made off with  a  3-0 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Patriots.
 Open Door Christian never let Ursuline on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22,  25-18.
 Open Door Christian relied on the efforts of   Sammy Comer, who  had 26  digs, and   Elliana Pruitt, who  had 15  digs, a  kill,  and 38  assists. Pruitt is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 13 or more in the last 45 games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Lutheran East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Open Door Christian, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season.
 Lutheran East suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Open Door Christian  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2020. Can Lutheran East avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
