Baseball Recap: Wheaton North Comes Up Short

After flying high against Glenbard North on Thursday, Wheaton North came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Park Lancers on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.

Wheaton North's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16-1. As for Lake Park, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-15.

While Wheaton North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
