Baseball Game Preview: Pinole Valley Spartans vs. Kennedy Titans

The Pinole Valley Spartans will square off against the Kennedy Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pinole Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over The Bay School.

Meanwhile, Kennedy had just enough and edged out St. Joseph Notre Dame 2-1 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by just one run.

Isaiah Ebrahimi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kennedy's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Padilla, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Pinole Valley has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
