Softball Recap: Griswold Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wheeler

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Griswold). They were the clear victors by a 19-5 margin over the Wheeler Lions on Friday. The Wolverines not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1, 2024 (when they won 18-2).

Griswold's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Wheeler, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Griswold will take on Lyman Memorial at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheeler, they will square off against St. Bernard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
