Croswell-Lexington won the last time they faced Dryden and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pioneers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Croswell-Lexington was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10.

Their offense was headlined by Lauren West and Gracie Smith, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Amaya Torrez and her nine assists. Kiera Hines controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Croswell-Lexington's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Dryden, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Croswell-Lexington and Dryden could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Pioneers will challenge Yale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (287 vs. 125). Meanwhile, Dryden (ranked 662nd) will meet Birch Run (ranked 88th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
