Basketball Recap: Hermon Takes a Loss

Hermon was the 49-35 winner over Bucksport when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Hermon Hawks were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 40-39 to the Bucksport Golden Bucks. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hermon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Bucksport, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.

When Hermon and Bucksport next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hermon will try to stop Orono's three-game winning streak when the meet at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bucksport will try to stop Mount Desert Island's four-game winning streak when the meet at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
