Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Humboldt). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the West Carroll War Eagles 89-9. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the War Eagles are ranked 420th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Humboldt's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for West Carroll, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humboldt will take on Middleton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Humboldt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Middleton likes a good challenge. As for West Carroll, they will challenge Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
