Basketball Recap: Franklin Road Christian Starts off Right with Win over Hendersonville Christian Academy + How To Watch

Franklin Road Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They really took it to the Hendersonville Christian Academy Crusaders for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-37 win. The Minutemen have beaten the Crusaders the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Crusaders has come to flipping the script.

Franklin Road Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Alcorn, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Alcorn has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Wes Fuqua was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points and six assists.

Looking ahead, Franklin Road Christian will head out to challenge Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hendersonville Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Metro Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
