Softball Recap: Chimacum Triumphs

The third road match was the charm for Chimacum, as they earned their first away win of the season. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Quilcene Rangers on Wednesday. The Cowboys have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Chimacum's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Quilcene, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Chimacum will venture away from home to face off against South Whidbey on Saturday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Quilcene, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pope John Paul II at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Rangers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
