Softball Recap: String Theory vs. Saul Razorbacks

String Theory put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 victory over the Saul Razorbacks. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.

Alexa Pietrafesa was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Veronica Cattai, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

String Theory's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Saul, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. String Theory is on the road again on Monday to play Tacony Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. String Theory knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Tacony Academy Charter likes a good challenge. As for Saul, they will head out on the road to take on Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
