Football Recap: Kaleb Irion's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bald Eagle Area over Penn Cambria + How To Watch

Bald Eagle Area was the 46-0 winner over Penn Cambria when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles lost 47-24 to the Panthers on Friday. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-3.

Bald Eagle Area lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaleb Irion, who threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Bald Eagle Area also got a significant boost from Nick McCulley, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 117 yards.

Penn Cambria got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Jones out in front who threw for 207 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 38 yards and a pair of scores. That's the most passing yards Jones has posted since back in August of 2024. Blake Lilly was Jones' top target, picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 56 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Bald Eagle Area and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Penn Cambria, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Bald Eagle Area wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-0 victory against Penns Valley Area on the 5th. As for Penn Cambria, they have also already played their next contest, a 22-18 loss against Forest Hills on the 5th.
