It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Antelope ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Salome Frogs 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since March 17, 2025.

Sebastian Marquez was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mariano Valencia, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Antelope and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Salome, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Antelope and Salome will both be playing Desert Heights Prep the next time they take the field. The Frogs will host the Yote at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on the 27th.
