Baseball Game Preview: Scripps Ranch Falcons vs. Patrick Henry Patriots

For the second straight game, Scripps Ranch will face off against Patrick Henry. The Falcons will face off against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scripps Ranch has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with eight straight losses, while Patrick Henry will come in with three straight victories.

Monday just wasn't the day for Scripps Ranch's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Patrick Henry on Monday.

For Patrick Henry's part, Cody Cappelletti made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Cappelletti has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Alex Mestman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ian Brooke, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
