Basketball Recap: Salem Christian School Defenders vs. Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles
Salem Christian School was the 68-27 winner over Sheets Memorial Christian when they last played one another back in November of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Defenders were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 63-24. The Defenders were down 52-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Salem Christian School lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Parker Copeland, who posted eight points.
Finn Everhart was his usual excellent self, going 14-for-25 en route to 33 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Sheets Memorial Christian. That makes it three consecutive games in which Everhart has scored at least a third of the Eagles' points. Jude Howell was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten steals.
Salem Christian School now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sheets Memorial Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Coming up, Salem Christian School will challenge NC H at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sheets Memorial Christian, they will face off against Covenant Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
