Lone Peak takes loss despite strong performances from Chamberlain Burgess and Thomsen Kramer

Recap: Lone Peak Knights vs. American Fork Cavemen

On Friday, the Lone Peak Knights faced the American Fork Cavemen in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lone Peak fell 75-67 to American Fork. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Lone Peak's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Thomsen Kramer, who scored 26 points, and Chamberlain Burgess who scored 16 points along with four blocks and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kramer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ike Staley, who scored 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Lone Peak and nudges their season record down to 10-10. As for American Fork, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Lone Peak will be playing at home against Lehi at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehi will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lone Peak surely won't give up without a fight. As for American Fork, they will head out on the road to square off against Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Fork has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
