Jordan barely beat Compton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Jordan's pitchers stepped up to hand Compton a 7-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jordan let Talin Velazquez and Adrian Mendez run wild. Velazquez scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Mendez went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Noah Sanchez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory snapped Jordan's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-5-1 record. As for Compton, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Looking ahead, Jordan will square off against Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Compton, they will take on Rancho Dominguez at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Rancho Dominguez will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
