Softball Recap: Arkansas Wins Going Away Against Lakeside

Arkansas was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lakeside on Tuesday. Everything went the Arkansas Razorbacks' way against the Lakeside Rams as the Arkansas Razorbacks made off with an 18-8 victory. The Razorbacks have beaten the Rams the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rams has come to flipping the script.

Macie Lee made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Lee was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Arkansas got a massive performance out of Aniya Arnold, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Savannah Wilder was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4.

The win got Arkansas back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Arkansas will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lake Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. As for Lakeside, they will head out on the road to challenge White Hall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
