Softball Recap: Mesa Ridge Grizzlies vs. Coronado Cougars

Mesa Ridge entered their tilt with Coronado on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Coronado Cougars. The Grizzlies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Lillian Staszesky was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Kiana Steinhoff was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and a double. Elexiyah Montoya was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
