Basketball Recap: Nishi Amos' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mooseheart over Parkview Christian Academy

After flying high against Westminster Christian last Thursday, Mooseheart came back down to earth. The Mooseheart Red Ramblers fell just short of the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons by a score of 63-61 on Friday. The Red Ramblers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Mooseheart lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nishi Amos, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 17 points. Amos' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of John McGowin, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Mooseheart has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Parkview Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mooseheart has already played their next contest (against College Prep of America), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Parkview Christian Academy will host Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
