Football Game Preview: Cinco Ranch Cougars vs. Morton Ranch Mavericks + How To Watch

The Cinco Ranch Cougars will square off against the Morton Ranch Mavericks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cinco Ranch has five straight wins, Morton Ranch has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Cinco Ranch was able to grind out a solid victory over Mayde Creek, taking the game 23-16. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly seven points.

Brayden Gonzalez had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Morton Ranch played a tough matchup last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Mayde Creek, falling 47-16. The Mavericks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.

Cinco Ranch's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Morton Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
