Grayslake Central waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Buffalo Grove Bison. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Grayslake Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 25-15.

Ben Boron paced Grayslake Central's offense, picking up 19 kills. Boron got some help from Bryce Tupaz and his 28 assists.

Grayslake Central's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-5. As for Buffalo Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-16.

Looking ahead, Grayslake Central will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lake Zurich at 6:00 p.m. Buffalo Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
