Caesar Rodney took a 28-12 bruising from Sussex Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Caesar Rodney in their matchups with Sussex Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Caesar Rodney still got an impressive performance from Sincere Wright, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Malik Bell was a one-man wrecking crew for Sussex Central as he rushed for 228 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Bell was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards. Kevon Moore briddell was in the mix too, providing Sussex Central with two touchdowns.
Caesar Rodney's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. As for Sussex Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caesar Rodney will take on Dover at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dover presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Caesar Rodney in Delaware (Dover is ranked third, while Caesar Rodney is ranked 27th). As for Sussex Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smyrna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
