Football Recap: Kiel Comes Up Short

Kiel and Lake Country Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Kiel had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Lightning. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Lightning are ranked 83rd).

Kiel is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. As for Lake Country Lutheran, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Kiel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Country Lutheran, they will square off against Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
