Volleyball Recap: Linden Lions vs. Bret Harte Bullfrogs
After flying high against Riverbank last Tuesday, Linden came back down to earth. The Linden Lions fell just short of the Bret Harte Bullfrogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bullfrogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Linden wouldn't go down easily and took Bret Harte into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 15-13.
Linden has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Bret Harte, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Linden will venture away from home to square off against Big Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bret Harte, they will square off against Summerville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
