Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last 18 contests, Blue Ridge finally came back down to earth on Monday. They were dealt a 53-20 defeat at the hands of the Regents Lions. The matchup marked the Barons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Blue Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 24-4. As for Regents, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Coming up, Blue Ridge will square off against Miller School of Albemarle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miller School of Albemarle is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Blue Ridge a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Regents, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-20 victory against Blue Ridge Christian on the 10th.
