Jesuit had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Barron Collier Cougars 8-0 on Monday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Wilson Andersen made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  doubles. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Bryce Besece and  Kaden Waechter did most of the damage at the plate:  Besece  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  runs, while  Waechter  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run was  Besece's first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Christian Sheffield, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 Jesuit  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in four consecutive  games.
Jesuit pushed their record up to 24-9 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Barron Collier, their loss dropped their record down to 24-8.
Jesuit will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
