Basketball Recap: Milby Comes Up Short

Milby lost against Spring Woods back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Milby Buffs took a blow against the Spring Woods Tigers, falling 53-12. While losing is never fun, the Buffs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1538th, while the Tigers are ranked 675th).

Melody Nowling went supernova for Spring Woods, going 9 for 16 en route to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cynthia Delcid, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 9 points and seven boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Milby and nudges their season record down to 7-19. As for Spring Woods, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.

As of now, neither Milby nor Spring Woods have any future games scheduled.
