The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles will head out to take on the Forrest Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shelbyville Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Shelbyville Central's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Warren County as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Shelbyville Central let William Bobo and Caden Duggin run wild. Bobo went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Duggin scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Bobo is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Lovvorn, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Shelbyville Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Forrest fell victim to Middle Tennessee Monarchs and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to Middle Tennessee Monarchs. The match marked the first time this year in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

Shelbyville Central's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Forrest, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Shelbyville Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Forrest when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
