Cooper Stuart posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Stuart's effort led Morgan over South Summit and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans are a perfect 10-0 against the Wildcats going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
