Baseball Recap: El Paso-Gridley's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

While El Paso-Gridley put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Midland. The Titans came out on top against the Timberwolves by a score of 4-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 21, 2018, but that streak is no more.

Not much got past Mason Vandegraft, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Midland off the board. Vandegraft also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because El Paso-Gridley is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-14 otherwise.

At the plate, El Paso-Gridley's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Blake Harris, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

El Paso-Gridley moved to 5-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Midland, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-3.
