Soccer Game Preview: Zane Trace vs. North Adams

The Zane Trace Pioneers are taking a road trip to square off against the North Adams Green Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Zane Trace has given up an average of 6.5 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Zane Trace fell victim to Fairfield Union and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 10-0. Zane Trace have struggled against Fairfield Union recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, North Adams hasn't lost a match since August 20th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They and Valley finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked North Adams' first draw of the season.

Tristan Young and Colin Tolle scored both of North Adams' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

North Adams' draw makes their record 11-1-1 this season. As for Zane Trace, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-2.

Zane Trace beat North Adams 2-0 in their previous matchup back in August of 2021. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Green Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
