Softball Game Preview: Arleta Mustangs vs. Kennedy Cougars

Arleta hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Cougars at 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Arleta's offense. They lost 12-0 to Verdugo Hills on Wednesday. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Kennedy challenged San Fernando on Wednesday. The Cougars walked away with a 4-1 win over the Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Arleta, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Arleta suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Kennedy when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
