There's no place like home for Merritt Island, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Palm Bay Pirates 39-8. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-0.

Merritt Island got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alain Adams out in front who rushed for 161 yards and one TD while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Deshaun Thomas was another key player, gaining 100 total yards and two touchdowns.

The victory got Merritt Island back to even at 2-2. As for Palm Bay, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merritt Island will take on St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palm Bay, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Melbourne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 37 points per game this season.
