Football Recap: Greater Latrobe Takes a Loss

Greater Latrobe suffered their closest loss since September 13, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Armstrong River Hawks by a score of 17-14. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the River Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Armstrong to victory, but perhaps none more so than Theron Cupec, who picked up 108 receiving yards and one touchdown. Cupec didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Kayden Lewis, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Greater Latrobe now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Armstrong, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.
