Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lansing Christian). Their defense stepped up to hand the Eastern Quakers an 8-0 shutout on Monday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Lansing Christian's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Eastern are ranked 283rd).

The win made it two in a row for Lansing Christian and bumps their season record up to 4-0-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two games. As for Eastern, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Lansing Christian has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Perry on the 15th. As for Eastern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Williamston on the 16th.
