Killingly and Plainfield are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Redmen will welcome the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Killingly fell victim to Bacon Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The Redmen's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Plainfield had taken St. Bernard down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Saints by a score of 7-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 15, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Killingly's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-5. As for Plainfield, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Killingly beat Plainfield 6-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Do the Redmen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
