Basketball Recap: Kingdom Collegiate Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Waxahachie Prep

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingdom Collegiate Academy). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 122-22 win over the Waxahachie Prep Warriors. Given Kingdom Collegiate Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Waxahachie Prep is ranked 1713th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trey Fulcher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 16 of 22 en route to 39 points along with 13 assists and 12 rebounds. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Jackson, who went 14 for 23 on his way to 31 points in addition to eight assists and five boards.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Kingdom Collegiate Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 32 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Kingdom Collegiate Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 36.2% in those games and 24.7% outside of them. As for Waxahachie Prep, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingdom Collegiate Academy has already played their next game (against Westwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Waxahachie Prep will be playing at home against Winston School of Dallas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
