The Tipton Blue Devils will square off against the Clinton Prairie Gophers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Tipton's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Taylor. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Blue Devils this season.

Chasity Kelich was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Ashlyn Nasser was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lucy Niccum was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Tipton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Clinton Prairie had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Titans 13-0. Considering the Gophers have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Keera Grizzle was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alexis Perez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Clinton Prairie pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Tipton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
