Soccer Recap: Irvin Comes Up Short

Irvin lost against Austin back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Austin Panthers who were credited with the victory. The Austin Panthers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Irvin Rockets' three. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Irvin's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Austin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Coming up, Irvin will square off against Clint at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clint's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Austin, they will challenge Harmony Science Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
