Softball Game Preview: Pleasanton Eagles vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats

The Pleasanton Eagles will host the Carrizo Springs Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Pleasanton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Pleasanton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Uvalde on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) by a score of 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, Carrizo Springs came up short against Jourdanton on Tuesday, falling 16-1.

Pleasanton's loss dropped their record down to 16-11-1. As for Carrizo Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.

Pleasanton took their win against Carrizo Springs when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 20-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
