Their tough 65-43 defeat to Maiden might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Lincolnton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while Maiden is ranked 228th).

Despite the loss, Lincolnton still got an impressive performance from Nyla Johnson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Chelsea De los santos, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
