Volleyball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville lost against Olentangy Berlin back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Elks fell 3-1 to the Bears. The Elks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Centerville ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Sean Chaudhuri and Liam Sease, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Michael Philip and his 31 assists. Caden Peterson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Olentangy Berlin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Centerville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Hilliard Darby on the 12th. As for Olentangy Berlin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Thomas Worthington on the 12th.
