Softball Recap: Cypress Creek Sets Scoring Season-High Against Fivay

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Creek). They never let the Fivay Falcons get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Lindsey Bowling, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Lorelei Meskunas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Cypress Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fivay only managed three hits.

Cypress Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Fivay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Cypress Creek will challenge Springstead at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fivay, they will venture away from home to take on Anclote at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sharks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
