Softball Recap: East Aurora Has No Trouble Against Wilson

East Aurora had won three straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped their record up to 4-4 to make it four. Everything went their way against the Wilson Lakemen as they made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won three games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Sage Rozanski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Tessa Fowler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. Grace Gallo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

East Aurora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wilson only posted a batting average of .125.

As for Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

On Wilson's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Hardy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Coming up, East Aurora will square off against Tonawanda at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilson, they have already played their next game, a 17-3 victory against Medina on the 25th.
